Philosophy

South Hills Academy is an independent Christian School enrolling students in Preschool through grade eight.
Since its inception in 1957, South Hills Academy has maintained a high-level scholastic content built on a solid foundation of Christian wisdom.

The educational objectives of South Hills Academy are five fold:

1. Spiritual
To educate students so that they successfully integrate Christian values and ideals into their total life.
2. Intellectual
To provide a climate conducive to learning; to encourage the learning of skills that will lead to a successful future.
3. Social
To provide children with opportunities for growth in the social skills required for integration into today's society; to enable students to understand and appreciate the privileges and responsibilities of living in a democracy.
4. Cultural
To promote appreciation for life, and our environment; to promote and encourage involvement in the arts.
5. Physical
To help students develop a healthy body, good grooming habits and manners.
