Summer Programs
-
South Hills Academy offers its students as well as students in the community a balanced summer program. Our summer program is designed to provide children from pre-school through eighth grade reinforcement and enrichment in academics and extra-curricular activities.
Students first through eighth grades receive from classroom teachers instruction in Reading, Language and Math in the morning. Both review and preview materials are provided. In the afternoon, students attend various workshops based on their interests and levels. Workshops include Computer Lab, Arts and Crafts, Phonics, Swimming, ESL, Science Lab, Study Skills, and Foreign Languages.
Extended Day Care services are provided before and after school.

Cultural Exchange Program

Summer Exchange Program
A group of students from Lih-Jen Elementary School participated in South Hills Summer School. They enjoyed the special programs arranged for them. Teachers and students of both schools benefited from this cultural and educational exchange program.

International Students
South Hills Academy is authorized by INS to issue I-20 form (Foreign Student Admission) to international students who are admitted to the school. The foreign student coordinator will work closely with the students and their families to design a suitable program for them. Programs include the regular school Curriculum, ESL (English as Second Language) classes, American Culture Studies, Private tutoring, student housing and transportation.
