Southern California Area Field Education Frequent field trips and visiting lectures provide enrichment as the students learn about the historical, cultural, scientific and business resources available to them in the Southern California area. Overnight State and national field study trips are arranged for students in grades four through eight. Fourth graders may participate in the study trip to the State Capital, Sacramento. Fifth graders may join the exciting Astro Camp. Sixth graders may experience diving and snorkeling by joining the Catalina Island campout. Junior High students have the opportunity to join a study trip to Washington, DC. or an outdoors educational program.
